Converting images to Base64 might seem like a simple copy-paste task, but using Data URIs effectively requires understanding browser caching, payload size, and rendering performance. • Reserve Base64 for small images only: Base64 encoding increases file size by approximately 33% due to the 6-bit to 8-bit conversion ratio.
